The equinox has passed. From here the nights are longer than the days, and they keep getting longer until December. Not a decline into winter — a turning inward.

A short one this month: something to keep, a few things that are new, and two ways to gather.

Prayer for the Love Denied

A prayer came to me on a hand-lettered cloth. I don’t know who wrote it. It asks for the healing of the imprisoned, the unlearning of war, and it ends by handing the choice back: may we choose Life, for the good of all, according to free will.

I recorded it with music, filmed in the tunnel at Heart Creek Bunker. The page has the video, the words to read, and a photo of the cloth.

A free open house. Friday Oct 16 at Brandenburg Music, 6:15–9:15pm. Six 30-minute tastings — laughter yoga, instrument demo, open play, drum body and voice, a drum circle jam, and a community singing bowl choir to close. Ages 9+, all instruments provided, no experience needed. Free, but please register.

The wireless headphones are real. The silent-sound system has arrived and had its first outing. Sound baths in parks, gardens, and rooms a gong could never whisper in — every listener inside the sound.
